Stratera for ADHD and Anxiety wasn't the best for me
| Makayla
I started the, I suppose you could call it, " trial pack " of Stratera, leading up from 20 mg to 80 mg as my goal dosage. I'm currently on my 80, and have 4 pills left in my pack and set to hopefully get another prescription for it. However, during my month or well, it's been really two months on this pack, I've noticed my sleeping has been off. I wake up around 3-4 every day and am unable to fall back asleep even if exhausted. I have broken out into blister like acne that hurts, which my doctor said was deep pore acne which has actually left scars on my body. I've been more exhausted on this pill than EVER before. I come home, crawl in bed and try to sleep but can't and I feel like I have no energy. I've had headaches we associated with low protein intake and drop in my blood sugar but even after adjusting my diet I still have to take Advil for, and I've experienced nausea, no will to eat, and when I do, indigestion.
I believe these are all side effects of the medication, Stratera, and I will most likely be begging to be taken off.

I need advice
| Alanna-1
I was recently diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis. I have lost 40 lbs in one year but once causing me the greatest anxiety is the amount of hair I'm loosing. I dread showers because I wonder how long will it be until I'm bald! I'm on 24,000 units of Creon and I need some help/advice on how to deal with this. I'm also hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) and have been able to control this all my life with proper diet until now. My blood sugar drops without warning and I'm hungry all the time. Can anyone help?

Do what's best for you

I've been dealing with hyperthyroidism for the passed year. The worst part for me is the racing pulse and weight loss. My usual bp runs about 94/74 but my pulse goes up to 118 so beta blockers wouldn't be a good thing for me as they lower bp. I was takin off of ssri because it raised my blood sugar thru the roof and gave me high bp. Xanax has been a life saver for me lowering my pulse and not affecting my bp. It stops my tremors and I'm able sleep at night. I don't have to take xanax everyday as with an ssri, you do and the withdrawals coming off of that was absolutely horrible. No two people are the same so do what works best for you just don't make one drug seem more addictive than the other because really, they can all be addictive. Just be and take responsibly :)

Glucose spikes after caffeine consumption?
| Sonny Chainey
Caffeine seems to raise my blood sugar by 100 mg/dl or so. I drink about 16 oz in the morning and after an hour I get an abrupt spike in blood sugar. I am 34 years old and have been type 1 diabetic since I was 8. I am on an insulin pump that has the continuous glucose monitoring feature so I can watch trends in glucose as they happen. When I don't have my morning cup of Joe, I don't see a rise in glucose. I'm wondering if anyone else has this issue.

GalvusMet (50/1000) and Arvast 40mg
| ArnabDas
My diabetes level identified in January'16 and it was 214 (fasting) and 484 (PP). Doctor prescribed me GalvusMet (50/500) and after one month amazing response came out (Blood Sugar Level -- 110 (fasting) and 199 (PP)), only body weight increased by 2 kg in a month (phew). I have again dis check up after three months (just before two days before writing this). My blood sugar level gone down 33 (fasting) and 172 (PP), but my body weight has been increased by 5 Kgs. I am taking GalvusMet along-with Arvast 40mg (Rosuvastatin).

Metronidazole 500mg causes hypoglycemia.
| Genaro
Ive been diagnosed with non-diabetic reactive hypoglycemia prior my treatment of h.pylori. I was managing my hypoglycemia by eating in between meals with 2.5 to 3 hr. intervals with great success. Upon taking 4 tablets of Metronidazole 500mg within a period of 2 days i was experiencing drastic lowering of my blood glucose. I started trembling and confused once again even before i had a meal following my usual schedule. I developed panic attacks once more. I consulted my physician and she said my hypo complaints was something she had not experienced with her previous patients. My physician replaced it with Amoxicillin 500mg and the hypoglycemic episodes were soon gone.

Can i switch to other antibiotics to complete my h.pylori treatment?
| Genaro
I have been diagnosed with non-diabetic reactive hypoglycemia and GERD. Recently i have been experiencing acid reflux, constant burping and severe stomach irritation after going to the toilet. my physician said i have h. pylori after some tests. i was prescribed to take Clarithromycin. After taking about 4 tabs in a period of three days my hypoglycemic attacks have gotten worse. My blood glucose drops severely. Why is this happening?

Before taking Gabapentin for tarsal tunnel syndrome everything was normal. However after 2 mos, my blood sugar is 111 and my heart developed an arrhythmia. The doc says this isn't the Gabapentin. I say yes it is.

Could this be a new Baker's cyst?
| debcoughlan59
I have a larger Baker's cyst behind the left knee, ID'd via MRI. Now my left foot seems to have the same type of swelling and pain both superior and inferior from the toes nearly to my ankles. Could this also be a Baker's cyst? It is quite painful to walk, difficult to wear shoes.
I am just now getting my blood sugar under control again and do not wish cortisone injections.
