I have experienced weight gain, coughing, tingling feet, bloating after eating, swollen eyes, mouth, face, and hands and feet, back nerve pain, and hot flashes. My doctor says Metprolol does not cause any of these side effects. I told him that it does because I read the side effects on the pamphlet that came with the pills, I didn't read it when I first started taking the pills, until I started having these ssymptoms. He said keep taking the medicine.
