My wife has been on Metoprolol for years now. In the last 3 years she has been complaining of her shoulders and fingers being sore and swollen. Now the Rheumatoligest said she has rheumatoid arthritis . She has had three episodes of chest pain in the year and half . Now the doctors have increased he dosage from 25mg to 50mg . She is on medication for arthritis for two months and it is doing nothing. Is the Metoprolol that is causing all her pain.
