Useless for me

It smells funny and hasn't worked on me. I'm naturally olive and my stretch marks are light. I've also had them for years, so I am not sure if this product only works on new stretch marks.

Allergic Reaction to Mederma Scar gel
| Anon
I've been using Mederma on my 6 year old son for a post operation scar along his hairline. It's been about 2 months of daily use, and tonight, he developed hot, raised, itchy hives where I applied the gel. And it appears he itched the scar, then touched his eyes and mouth because his eye swelled up and his tongue is fat! No breathing problems, so I gave him a benedryl and the swelling has gone down. I don't think we used it long enough to see any appreciable difference, but will discontinue use due to the severe allergic reaction.
