I began getting anxiety attacks after my second Depo Provera shot.
| sarahel27
I've struggled with major depression and anxiety for years but I have never had an anxiety attack until after taking depo provera. It was not long after my second shot that I had my very first "attack" and have had several since. I even had to take a 30 day leave of absence from work (that I'm still taking) and have had to switch from Zoloft to Lexipro and Xanax. I have endometriosis so birth control is essential if I'm to avoid yet another surgery (I've already had two). I'm talking to my OB/GYN about switching to another contraceptive today so hopefully that will be a start to getting my anxiety in check.

Does Protonix and Klonopin affect the Adderall I take as well?
| John Ward
I have a question I have been want answered for a bit now. I am currently taking Depakote ER (Epilepsy)....Protonix (acid reflux/GERD etc.)...and then first was put on Klonopin for anxiety ...i only take 1 mg total a day and split it up so its not much. I take Adderall IR as well bc i was recently diagnosed with adult ADHD about 4 months ago. Lastly I am on Lexapro that he also prescribed me besides the Adderall for anxiety/depression.My question is about the Adderall and its effects on the other medications I am on...I believe the Adderall is not as effective sometimes because I am on Protonix. I dont know if this is true? and also the Klonopin. I feel like I dont even need the Klonopin. I told him I would rather take it as needed now instead of everyday. So between the small dose of Klonopin and the Protonix that HAS to be effecting the dosageand duration and effectiveness of my Adderall correct? Any information would help me thank you! I take 10Mg Adderall IR 4x a day...started that dose just a month ago...used to be on half of that and that didnt last very long either. Oh! and Should I take Adderall on empty stomach? before I eat or after I eat?

I don't know how helpful I can be, but I can say that perhaps the combination of medications is causing some effect. My mother also suffers from Epilepsy and has so since she was 3 years old. They started out as Grand Mal and now they are Petite Mal seizures or also known as Absence Seizures. She takes Lamictal and I have done the same to treat my Bipolar 1 disorder, generalized anxiety disorder and my panic disorder. Perhaps, a switch of medication may be in order. My sister took Lexapro, but I don't know enough about it to say how effective it is to treat anxiety/depression. I can say that taking 25mg of Lamictal treated all of my issues and I took it just 2x a day. I was reading how Lamictal was proven to be very effective for treating adult patients with adult ADHD and Depression. Think of it like a 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner. Why take several pills to treat the conditions that can treated with just 1 pill? I'm not a doctor, but perhaps you can bring it up with your doctor as an option. Wouldn't hurt to try, right? Oh, Lamictal is an anticonvulsant if you haven't guessed that already so you could treat the anxiety/depression, the ADHD and the Epilepsy with just 1 pill possibly! Sounds better than taking bunch of medicine, right? Anyways, keep me posted and good luck!

Definitely works for anxiety but it's awful on your stomach. Nausea and dizziness. Don't like the frantic feeling and cold feet feeling. Very scary. I only take it for anxiety and quitting tomorrow and going back on Lexapro. Also insomnia.

I have pernicious anemia. My Doctor had me on monthly B12 injections. After seeing my family Doctor for nearly 20 years, they no longer took my insurance. Onto new Doctor who has me on the daily sublingual B12 instead of shots.I also take 20 mg of Lexapro daily. I noticed a big difference in the B12 shots & the sublingual B12. The B12 shots gave me a lot more energy along with feeling better emotionally.w/ the sublingual B12, I barely have any energy ,very tiredThe last Doctor visit showed that my B12 levels had increased a "little",so the Doctor wanted to keep me on the sublingual B12. I would very much like to go back to the B12 shots. Have told this Doctor I was on B12 shots for 10 yrs. I asked for the bloodwork to make sure the B12 was being absorbed b/c I usually don't absorb vitamins in my gut? My next appointment is in 5 weeks, should I ask for repeated bloodwork or just ask to be put back on B12 shots? Thank you!
