Diagnosed w/diabetic macular edema...have had 9 months of Eylea injection s plus a steroidal injection in the weaker left eye called Ozurdex, which leaves a moving "rod" shape floating around my eye for months! I am told that is the steroid, which slowly dissolves! Have had many side effects...injection site pain, which goes away, nuttiness, floaters, balance issues(recently), snarkiness, flashing in the evening from the corners of my eyes, and never both eyes at the same time. The doc reports a steady improvement based on the pictures. Not certain I agree...sometimes I think the best slight nuttiness I experienced when I reported this was not so bad!! I hope I am wrong!

Eyelea
| Lynne allen
have been on Avastin and Lucentis and did well the Eyelea came along and my Dr insist on using this. I hate the drug. The side effects on me are blurred vision for hrs, Extreme discomfort like pressure and my eyes feel swollen to the point just keeping them open is bothersome and these effects last 16 hrs. With the other two I walked away with barely a feel of anything but a few floaters. he will not change back and I am not sure I soon will have to change Dr's. On Photo's and such I see no differance than with the other two.

Sorry you are having this result. I was receiving Avastin for 4 months in the left eye, and it actually got so much worse. Then, I was switched to Eylea, and after only 1 injection, I was reading 3 lines better on the eye chart. I have the same result with both meds...red, itchy, irritated eye after shot. Feels like grit in my eye for a day or two. I'm not gonna complain though, as my result is so good!
