Horrible headache and insomnia from this medicine
| LillaVanilla
My doctor prescribed this medicine to help with a severe, painful cough that accompanied the flu. I took the prescribed 10 ml once in the afternoon, and again at 11:45 p.m. Both times, I noticed my head started hurting shorty after taking it, and I barely slept at all that night, and my heart was hammering. I had previously been treating myself with Nyquil, which seemed to have been much more helpful, and without the side effects of headache, racing heart and insomnia.

Never taking mucinex again... I would suggest to others to try and fight the congestion in more natural ways such as vaporizing, gargling or just plain coughing it up. Shortly after I took mucinex it made me feel more sick. It dried my throat & nose up so much that I then got continuous nosebleeds for 2 days. Would not recommend to anyone.
