(Breath odour)
There are many reasons why you might have bad breath. You can get it if you don't brush and floss regularly. Bacteria that build up in your mouth and between your teeth produce the bad odor. Other problems in your mouth, such as gum disease, dry mouth or cavities, may also cause it. Sinusitis or problems with your nose may be to blame. You can also have bad breath if you eat some foods, like raw onions, garlic or cabbage. And of course smoking causes its own bad aroma. Some diseases and medicines are associated with a specific breath odor. Read more on MedlinePlus.gov.

Chronic disease
| snb
Since I was 16 after a sexually encounter I developed symptoms of eye mucus and drying, severe bad breath, and profuse sweating. Also tiredness and joint pain.I have been test for sexually transmitted diseases and came back good. I did test with high levels of hhv-6. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing it. I'm 37 now so dealing with this for over 20 years.

My father had been dealing with severe bad breath for years and we could not figure out he cause. Recently he has a gallbladder attack and had his gallbladder removed which was actually to the point of becoming gangrenous. After his gallbladder was removed his bad breath resolved. Could it mean that he had has a festering gallbladder infection/ blockage for years? Interesting case.

i heard long term use of toothpaste can cause the papilae on the tongue overgrow which traps food and bacteria leading to white hairy tongue which is the leading cause of bad breath. and i have reasons to believe what i heard. most people in my country dont even know toothpaste exists. they may have bad teeth but not a hairy tongue or bad breath. most people wont beleve this because they everyone in the developed world uses toothpaste from a young age that it seems impossible to live without it, but it is not.

| Angel's Mom
I've been taking Metformin since October 2013 & I've been having "fuzzy-mouth" & bad breath. My husband won't even kiss me unless I use mouthwash.

People with Chronic halitosis have no idea of how bad it is, when it is “on” or “off” and when it is really acutely tragic. Once the source is identified, a reasonable person will take every necessary action they know to do to remedy it or reduce it to a bearable level by all means necessary. I am a reasonable man, but unfortunately, i could not solve a problem i don't know how to fix.
I had suffered with it for over 5 years (correlating to my time on Metformin) and never knew the height, dept
