New to Treato?

Are you a a little lost?

Think of this post as your Treato roadmap:

Let’s say you’re looking for more information on a certain medication.   Maybe you were prescribed something  and you want to see what others have said about it.  Or maybe you want to know what side effects you might experience, or what other medications may be just as good — if not better — at managing your condition.

So, here’s what you do:  Go to the home page  and search for the medication(s) you were prescribed. The first thing to look at is how many people liked it. The medication is rated on a scale of 1 to 5 so you can get a general idea of the positive feedback.

Now, you can scroll down and check out the side effects.  And if you click on a side effect, you have a link to read the posts themselves:

Now, let’s say you’ve been diagnosed with a specific illness, and you want to know what kind of information Treato can offer.

Go to the home page, and type in your illness:

Hit search.

The first thing you’ll notice is the list of possible treatments for your illness. This list also offers  a comparison of positive feedback people reported while on this medication:

And  can also read general posts on the illness by clicking on the number of posts located to the right of the illness name at the top of the page:

For more info on a specific medication check out “I’m looking for more info on a medication.”

If you want to comare side effects, please see “I want to compare medications.”

Now, let’s say you want to compare the number of positive experiences patients had with a specific medication, you can search for any medication name out of the medication group that interests you. Then, click on the page and you can see a chart of popular similar  medications and their respective ratings.

If you want to compare side effects, search for the condition name, and then the word “medications”

Try, for example, “Depression medications:”

Notice, the sidebar that lists the primary concerning side effect.  You can pull down on the sidebar  and type the side effect that worries you and get a new list of comparisons.

And if you can’t find the medication you were looking for in the first place, you can always type it in.

We hope this Treato roadmap helps you find your way to good health!
