coughing up blood, blood in my mouth in the morning
I have been on Xarelto and I stop it since I bleed all the time from it. I just started it again this morning and blood was in my back of my throat coughing it up. Its more then a teaspoon. My doctor will not take me off of this stuff.I can taste the metallic taste in my mouth. I am sick of tasting blood.

Xarelto and Eczema
I have taken Xarelto for 7 months. I have since developed serious eczema on all parts of my body. Could be a coincidence. Just wandering of other Xarelto users have had skin problems? Let me know.
Had been on Coumadin for several years for recurrent DVTs and had periods of rashes and itching. In April I had more leg clots while on Coumadin, so doctor switched me to Zarelto. Clots are gone, rashes are gone, but skin itches more, just about everywhere: scalp, back, face, arms. Leg itching I think is due to previous dvts causing varicose veins and pooling.

I have developed it around my eyes and behind my ears since starting Xarelto.

DVT, EP, excercise
I have just recovered from a massive blood clot in my left leg running from my calf to my groin.
this is my second , the first was ten years ago in my right leg.
I'm a active 59 year old male runner, triathlete, and cyclist and concerned about exercising. I love it and its my passion.
The Doc told me to take it easy for a couple of weeks and go back working out. The body should dissolve the clot in about three to four months.
I was on Warfin for a couple of weeks then I went to a hematologist and he changed me to Xarelto due to the convenience. I just didn't have the time to leave work and get checked every week or every month.
I only had a little swelling in the left leg and some discomfort that I related to Restless Leg Syndrome so watch out for that. Big oversight on me.
I'm still going to go full speed after 4 months but slowly easing into it.
Your life is not over just forget about skydiving and rock climbing lol.
A question about the stents: do they have valves built into them to prevent blood pooling?

I had clots in my left calf in 1999. Thinking I had pulled a muscle, I went to the gym and did light leg lifts which broke up the clots which went into my lungs. A year later was up to running a mile again and back at the gym. In 2011 I had extensive clotting in my right ankle to above the knee and in my lungs - sitting too long at the computer I suppose. I started back at the gym in April and changed fr

I had that happen to me. Clot was from my knee to groin. I had to have 3 stents in my iliac vein, it had collapsed.

How do I manage pain medication while on Xarelto?

I have two ways to deal with pain. One is the Lumen Photon. The other is the Bemer.

My sister was put on 30 mg daily about a month ago for DVT in her right leg. The doctor has now switched the dose to 20 mg once daily. She suffers from arthritis and always took Advil for it prior to getting the clot. The doctor told her that the only pain medication she can now take is Tylenol (which unfortunately doesn't do as good a job as far as pain relief is concerned as the Advil did.
