I am a 55 yoa woman and have been on Tramadol for a 8 months. I do not have hot flashes anymore and no more mood swings either. I asked my doctor if there had ever been a study reflecting the positive effects this has on Menopausal symptoms? He had not. When I am off this drug for about a week, all Menopausal symptoms return. I will remain on Tramadol until my Menopausal cycle is over.

I've taken vicodin for 8 yrs which worked for a while. Then my pain became worse with 4 herniated discs and1 slipped. Depression/Anxiety,Fibromyalgia,sciatica and neuropathy, restless leg syndrome. Tramadol was prescribed to me to keep my chronic pain at bay. Haven't had very much success with this medication. Ive been taking Tramadol now for a little over a yr and a half, from my pain management Dr. He won't prescribed anything else because of the Fibromyalgia factor. He doesn't believe in prescribing opiates. But with my experience Tramadol Doesn't help much, I'm currently taking 200mg daily.

Tramadol
hi , I've taken tramadol for about 10 years now along side a few other drugs . I've found it helps me massively , I run a decorating company and its very manual work , I have scoliosis with a Harrington rod which I had done in 1989 and recently just had a lower disc replacement . Yes I'm in pain every day , yes life could be better but hey , we are only on this earth once , you got to try your best to do what you can do . I've 3 beautiful kids and wife of course lol . I do get bloating , not sure if it's the drugs , reflux or me just eating to much . Yay to tramadol tho , I couldn't move without it ??

Tarmadol gives me really bad and red dried eyes

Ponstan helps in headache especially migraine but not neuropathy and central pain but Tramadol yes while giving very bad side effects....dry mouth, dry skin, rashes, acnes and stomach burning discomfort. Both induced ankle swelling.

Tramadol is weak and not addictive it is pretty much a placebo. I had no change in my pain. Goodies helped much better except the Caffeine in Goodies are more addictive.

Tramadol and Asthma Attack
I have several chronic illnesses. I was put on Tramadol for the pain but always had a suffocating heaviness in my chest like an asthma attack. I take Accolate, Albuterol inhaler, Flovent, and nebulizer every day. After being rushed to ER with a major asthma attack after taking the Tramadol for 3 days, I stopped taking the drug for my breathing to go back to normal. I do not have side effects with any other pain meds. Several years ago a pharmacist said to never take TRAMADOL with any type of COPD illness.

Night terrors
I took 2x 50mg at 11pm last night and it's now after 5:30am and I haven't been able to sleep because every time I close my eyes for more than 5 secs I get instant images/dreams and they're coming right towards me, fast. They're not particularly scary images but they freak me enough to blink my eyes open straight away! They kept my pain down but now the pain is coming back and I daren't take another thing.
