Where were you able to obtain that many a day with a prescription? Thanks
Tonya  |  May 17, 2014
Try to get off of them before you get as bad as me. I've been taking 40-50 tramadol 50mg per day for ten years. I has completely destroyed my life and getting off of them is next to impossible, and I have no idea what to do. Trust me, if you're an addict, get off of them. They are highly addictive and the amount you take every day will get larger and larger. The withdrawal is severe. It's been compared to the withdrawal you get from heroin. Stop, or taper off ASAP.

Taking Tramadol & Phentermine Together

The MD knew withdrawals are going to be expected. I was given chlonodine and phentermine to help. It worked will and now I am off meds. All this tx was supported by studies. A general MD will not have the knowledge to feel comfortable.
Rudy  |  May 31, 2014
Try to find a MD who is a pain management specialist along with being an addiction specialist or addictionologist. These doctors are much more knowledgeable on pain management along with other treatment that will help support your pain management. For example, my pain management MD had me on a pain med from a chronic injury. He also discovered I needed testosterone. After a year of treatment my chronic pain was feeling so much better that we decided to try to stop the pain meds. The MD kne

taking keppra and tramadol at the same time..
Keppra is a seizure med. It made my wife go through what you described. Her doc changed her to lamotragene (spelling is off on that). My concern is that tramadol is not supposed to be taken by people with epilepsy. Or anyone with a higher chance of seizures. It lowers the threshold for seizures. So if you have seizures and are still taking tramadol, please talk to your doctor asap..m its not safe.

Mobic vs Tramadol
Mobic is in the same class as ibuprophen, Aleve, etc. They are all NSAID (non steroid anti inflammatory drugs) and Tramadol is not a narcotic pain med but it does mimic some opiate pain meds and gives you pain relief similar to taking an opiate

Its now ages since I posted my lot about stopping tramadol and just happened to come across my post and the reply. Wish that one would be notified of a post but anyhow. You are sooooo right about the doctors needing to go back to school. Here in south africa one gets some doctors that only work at the state hospitals......they are well paid but become slap dash because the have about 30 patients per day to get through. So one is no sooner in the doctors room then out...they are very sweet but o

"Degenerative Disk Disease", led to 3 operations and morphine & oxycodone useage.
You really do not want to take oxycontin unless you are terminal . I'm currently living a nightmare life after taking oxycontin for chronic pain . i'm now hooked and have become tolerant to successive doses of this drug. I have little or no motivation ,no libido and live a life of depression due to oxy.
Tony  |  May 31, 2014
Try to find a doctor anywhere in North America ( I live in Canada) is nearly impossible. The government and pharmaceutical companies are hot to trot on giving chronic pain people man made opuates or anti-depressants.They get you hooked your pain is gone. Now they want to make life as miserable as they can "so now you have go on anything but morphine or daillodud (ie). So frustrating. I wanna know what doctors do for their pain? So far every show I have seen on TV. doctors drink like fish. Ie.
