It's normal to have an increased risk of blood clots if you're taking birth control after age 35. It's mentioned in the warnings. Taking birth control after age 35 becomes more and more dangerous as the years pass.

I was taking Lo Loestrin Fe for a 3 months trial and it worked great! However I had to switch to Microgestin because it's free on my insurance compared to $86 with the Lo Loestrin Fe. Yes, I have had similar issues. I've been on microgestin for a month now & I'm extremely moody/sensitive. Loestrin was perfect for me and I hate that it's been discontinued.

I have had the same experience.I also have had some shortness of breath when at the gym.I also noticed this while taking another gereric not sure which one. I read that a loestrin generic is being released in jan 2014.
