Metaprolol vs. Verapamil
Glad to hear that. I was on Verapimil for 5-6 years but finally had to stop due to out of control gum swelling (a side effect). Was put on Metaprolol earlier this year, but now am experiencing severe joint pain throughout my body. Going to ask the doc soon for something different.

I had the same experience. Severe headache, leg weakness, and extremely high B/P. They gave me IV Benadryl in the hospital ER and it brought my B/P down. Since I stopped the Linsinopril my B/P had greatly lowered, the headaches are less, and the pressure in my head had decreased. I still have leg weakness. I'm taking routine Benadryl and stopped the Linsinopril 92 hours ago. No more extremely high B/Ps. Thank you for your post, it validates my suspicion that I had (have) brain edema. The

I took lisinopril for years and no problem until
I started new hep c treatment which
Has interferon and ribavirin and sovaldi
I have had a terrible gagging cough for
Over three months now even after therapy
Was over. Tried other bp medicines and
Nothing works. Discontinued bp meds for
Now and cough only bothers me a little
In the later hours of the day
I hope this is not permanent
Or maybe I have interstitial
Peumonitis which can be life
Threatening. Going to pulmonary

I have the same issue. I just started on Lisinopril and I wake up in the night with a terrible, strangling cough. It can take me an hour or two to get it under control. I'm probably going to need a new med.

Blood Clot
I am on Metoprolol Succinate, 25 mg twice a day for BP control. My pulse can go down to the 50's but it is mostly between 60 and 80 during the 12 hours till next dose. I recently had an eschemic stroke and I am wondering if it contributed to the clot, along with Hydrochlorothiazide I was taking.

Shortness of breath and Metoprolol
Metoprolol is a generic is generic of Toprol, and can be obtained at $4 for 30 days at Kroger Pharm. But you need to try something else and make sure you tell your doctor that you want generic. Most generic works as well as the brand name, but the doctors are fed and entertained by the pharmaceutical companies to prescribe the brand name, BRIBERY?

I am experiencing the same problem. It just dont feel good it in general. I had diabetes and got rid of that. Lost a lot if weight. Tomorrow I am cutting down to 5 mg a day instead of 10. I wish that I had never been out on it. I have majors leg and joint pain. I exercise a lot and I hurt more than I did before I lost weight and got on this med.
