For Opiate Withdrawal: loperamide -or- Klonopin/other benzos.
I too take Vicodine for fractured vertabrae in neck. Down to 60 mg a day. Take Klonopin to sleep I think the more Klonopin the worse I feel in am, usually 2 to 4mg. I wish I could stop it all! ??

Should have shortened my first comment. Anyways, I started out with 74mg the first day (40, 20, 14) and tapered down to 8 today. I also used cimetidine (Tagamet).

Loperamide has taken away most if not all of my withdrawal symptoms. A week ago I was on about 140 mg of vicodin a day.Today should be the last day I'm on loperamide. This is the second time I've used this med and I have to say it's been a "miracle drug" for me. The worst thing for me during withdrawals are restless legs. It almost gets to the point where I would consider cutting off my lower legs just to get rid of the rls. However, with loper there was absolutely no restless legs. There a

I'm 2 months in. Headaches were a very frequent side effect for me the first few weeks as was sleeplessness and irritability. The headaches and irritability went away. I'm still dealing with the sleeplessness. I have found that cardio really helps in that arena.

Throat on fire!
I too had heartburn. Doc swore he didn't thimk it was from prozac. Get probotics 40mg and take it a few hours before your prozac. Laying down you may still feel some heat arise but it def puts it at a very tolerable level. Milk of magnesium works to treat the burn if you don't have probotics but its not nearly as effective.

I have the same pain. Any suggestions?

I have switched from zoloft to prozac 40mg. I've been on it for almost 2 months. Within the past several weeks there are night I get Terrible heartburn after I take the capsule. I thought it was food I have been eating but being that I have Never in my life had heartburn issues and reading about other people's reviews on prozac and heartburn I think it may be from pill. It is a burning sensation coming from center of chest as if I have food stuck there. I also feel like I need to belch but can'

I used prozac 1st in the 80s. Started having stomach and ephogus and throat burning. Was treated for GERD. No improvement. When I finally discontinued Prozac the burning slowly went away. Stopped GERD meds for a couple yrs. Went back on Prozac and the severe burning started again after several days. Have stopped Prozac ... burning stopped. Prozac helped my depression and II really want to take but just can't endure the burning. Even kept me awake at night. Oh, when I told drs about they

I also experienced the same burning sensation, when I swalloed the flouxetine pill, and it lasted for over two hours. I drank hot tea and coffee I thought thathot liquid helped releive the burning that I felt in my throat.
