Keppra and leg swelling
Sorry about typing mistake. Also has respiratory distress, hard to breathe at times. We are weaning him off the Keppra to see if it is the culprit after reading so many reviews that people over 60 years were getting edema and breathing problems with Keppra. Swelling is NOT reported as a side effect with Keppra...most of the younger epileptic population does not get edema, because possibly they are on LESS medications that are interacting with the Keppra .

taking keppra and tramadol at the same time..

Keppra is a seizure med. It made my wife go through what you described. Her doc changed her to lamotragene (spelling is off on that). My concern is that tramadol is not supposed to be taken by people with epilepsy. Or anyone with a higher chance of seizures. It lowers the threshold for seizures. So if you have seizures and are still taking tramadol, please talk to your doctor asap..m its not safe.

I had this as well, I am sorry I am posting this much later than your original post...I have read so many posts on Keppra and emotional issues and I found that some people were talking about vitamin b6 as a suppliment to take to help restore chemical balance that is lost when keppra filters through your kidneys...I started taking just a small pill once in the morning of vitamin b6 and instantly saw positive results within the first few days, I also read that vitamin b6 should be taken in cycles
