Rebound from PPIs
I had been on PPIs for 8 years when I weaned off them last Christmas. The really bad rebound affect lasted for roughly two weeks and progressively eased up. I used Gaviscon and later DGL liquorice plus Mastic Gum both bought from Vitacost to ease symptoms. Now several months later Im still taking DGL but have finished the bottle of mastic and won't get it again. I still use Gaviscon when needed but thats not very often as I've learned what upsets me now and avoid it.
