4months ago I suddenly got bursitis.the hip pain is terrible and disabilitating. After trying oxi cotton which gave me terrible side effects I was surprised to find that endones worked very we'll with much less adverse effects. Unfortunately one cannot stay on them for long periods of time due to the addictive nature of the drug. The doctor changed my med s to tramadol. I find this strange as tramadole seems to be reported with addictive ness and many of the same side effects as endones. Ad my pain is quite severe I must admit I'm not looking forward to the change over. But it will keep my doctor happy as he believes tramadol is better for you. I read some disturbing reorts on the manufactures down-playing the nature of tramadol but I will give it a shot and hope for the best. The best pain killer of all would be to fix the bursitis. Pfft .... I wish!!
Endone and Tramadol
I used to take Tramadol for my back pain and, while it was effective pain relief, I also felt severely nauseated, dizzy, and generally ill. This was to the point where I would avoid using it unless the pain was so bad that I could barely walk.
After being prescribed anti-depressants, I was no longer able to have Tramadol, so I was prescribed a low dosage of Endone instead. I found the Endone to be at least as effective pain relief as the Tramadol, without the nausea. I do occasionally get a little dizzy from the Endone, however.
So for me personally, the Endone is better. I guess the Tramadol just doesn't agree with me.
