You can't of 'had' endometriosis. It doesn't go away. There is no cure. Yes, it can be removed. It requires laparoscopic excision by one of a handful of actual specialists to get every microscopic cell. If your doctor told you he removed it and that it's gone forever or you should not suffer with endometriosis anymore, Sorry to say, he misinformed you. Endo can grow back after removal and carry with it a myriad of other symptoms. Leg pain, pinched nerve near shoulder and/or lower back. Nausea, vomiting, depression, anxiety, and the list goes on. I encourage you to do some research on endometriosis and see if some of the other symptoms you are having match the list of endo symptoms. There are lots of support groups out there, few (but very knowledgeable) specialists, and this is a strong and real lifelong, life altering autoimmune disease. You say you are 26, start a hard proactive fight now. I was your age when I starting having symptoms too loud to ignore. I'll be 35 next month, havent worked in 5 years and am applying for disability because this disease took me down so fast. You have a strong community of sisters who fight for research for a cure. Join our fight sister! ?? #EndoStrong
