http://www.drugs.com/sfx/gababentin-side-effects.html You are right that it can cause musculoskeletal problems, such as arthralgia, tendinitis, arthritis, joint stiffness, joint swelling. Also osteoporosis, bursitis, and contracture. Myoclonus has also been reported. Those are some of the side effects that they would like doctors to know about. i think neurontin gave me RA. I have been on and off for a few years 5(5 maybe) only because i was on and off insurance. the withdraw is awful ! but the arthritis pain, swelling, didnt go away even after a year of being off. now im going to a specialist because i tested positive for rheumatoid. i think the neurontin caused it somehow or kicked it in maybe. but ive allready read about 4 people having this happen in the 20 minutes googleing. hmmm

I stopped taking the neurontin, weening myself off if it and a month later still having bad arthritis pain. I hope you have stopped taking it as well.
Hi Sonya  |  July 23, 2014
I have been taking Neurontin for about 2 1/2 months and I am having some of the same symptoms. I wake up most mornings with both arms (from my elbows on down) are numb and in pain. My feet swell very mad also and so does my face. I started out taking 100mg three times a day to taking 300mg four times a day. I'm still in constant pain and my mood swings are horrible. My lymph nodes under my arm is also swollen, red, and painful. I have migraines. I totally understand how you feel.
