1.3 INR stuck
the post cut me off. didn't know there was a space limit. lol anyways, less man made drugs and more natural cures are better. and they are out there. Docs don't tell a lot because the pharma companies pay their wage and they have to endorse them. Look up the 2 that I mentioned and you'll be amazed. Once your blood gets thinner naturally, you will be able to lower your warfarin dose. Good luck with everything :)

I cant give medical advice as I am not a doctor, but if you are trying to thin your blood more without taking a higher dose of warfarin or enduring other procedures, there are many safe and natural products out there that you could take in conjunction with warfarin. One is aged garlic extract, and it has MANY other health benefits. Also omega 3 fish oils. Keep in mind that taking anything that will naturally thin the blood will also require your Coumadin dose to be adjusted, but that's a good t

bloody stool and blood in toilet.
I've had the same thing. I got my mirena in August 2014 and my last two menstrual cycles have also had blood in my stool just like you say. I don't have any other pains and I'm wondering if it's hemorrhoids? I've never had them before so I don't know. Did you find any results?

Coumadin and Cherry juice
con't of first message...... Long term use of warfarin has negative side effects. If you can help thin your blood naturally and lower your warfarin dose then do it. The second thing is that you can safely use other natural methods as long as you take the same amount everyday and your warfarin dose will be adjusted. Please look into it. I do it. I use aged garlic extract and omega 3 fish oils. My warfarin was lowered from 6 mg to 3.5. so far. Try to talk to a doc. that practices integrative medic

Diane ad Joe. I read your posts and wanted to let you know 2 things. First....PLEASE don't stop taking your natural products because of the warfarin. We need to be able to help ourselves naturally. If the cherry juice was helping as a sleep aide an for your arthritic hip, KEEP TAKING IT!
carrie  |  October 1, 2014
Have been on coumadin since 2002 and YES, cherry juice will move your numbers. I was consuming approx 6-8 tablespoons a day mixed with water as an anti-inflammatory agent for an arthritic hip. Had to stop due to the instability it created in my coumadin therapy.

I also was diagnosed with fibroadenomas there is nobody in my family that has or had this breast issue. I had surgery to remove the lump and 11days later it's back as I was told to quit smoking cause the lump will always come back til I quit. But now seeing two other women that also have the mirena have been diagnosed with fibroadenomas I am going to get the mirena removed!!
Connie  |  January 11, 2015
I too have had mine for a long time (4.5 years), when I was diagnosed with fibroadenomas. There is no family history for breast lumps. I plan to remove mine--I've tried changing my diet and did a detox and cleanse thinking it could be attributed to my poor diet and accumulation of all the junk over the years that my body couldn't effectively rid itself of. So, with other women stating similar circumstances with their mirenas, it's worth removing.

Coumadin is a nigthmare
I agree that natural is better, but what do you do if it costs more to go natural and you can't afford it as you lost your job after falling sick and got put on the meds for the rest of your life? How are you going to find work if all the employers out there are terrified you'll die sooner rather than later and refuse to hire you?
Cheryl  |  February 8, 2015
Lillian, look into the many NATURAL ways to thin your blood without medication. You should be able to lower your Coumadin dose or even go off of it. There are many natural choices out there. Look them up, and don't let a doctor tell you that you can't. Try to find a doctor that practices "integrative medicine". You deserve to get your life back ad live naturally. Medical doctors endorse the pharmaceutical companies, so find one that practices homeopathic or natural medicine. Good Luck :)

Avoid eating foods that contains potassium and nitrates bec these thiccken the blood. avoid eating salty foods bec salt retains water in our body that make our heart hard to pump more blood in and out of the heart. Salt makes the heart weaker.

Now . I have had aortic and mitral valves replaced. I don't eat foods that make my INR raise to a level of more than 3. My range should be bet. 2.5 to3. Green leafy veg. And beer. Wine and liquor will lower the INR that will make the blood thicker. Avoid these foods and drinks.

Hi Mike. I'm from the Philippines but I live in California . I have had my surgery in 2010 valves (metallic) replacement I'm taking warfarin 2mg a day. Lisonopril metoprolol simbastatin and and baby aspirin 81 mg. I do have blood check every 3 weeks. Sometimes my INR are so low that I need to increase my Coumadin .at present it's so high that I need to lower my Coumadin. It's really hard to be in this situation because of high cause of medicine, doctors and nurse that I pay. This for life no

Your symptoms match everything I am going through, i have been diagnosed as having an iron overload condition called Heamochromotosis. It just means too much iron is being absorbed into your body it's diagnosed by a blood test but you have to ask to be tested for it, ask for iron and ferritin levels to be tested just to rule it out. It's a common condition but doc don't automatically test as the symptoms can be the same as anaemia, stress, and other conditions. Hope you get it sorted.
