Xarelto and Eczema
Had been on Coumadin for several years for recurrent DVTs and had periods of rashes and itching. In April I had more leg clots while on Coumadin, so doctor switched me to Zarelto. Clots are gone, rashes are gone, but skin itches more, just about everywhere: scalp, back, face, arms. Leg itching I think is due to previous dvts causing varicose veins and pooling.

I have developed it around my eyes and behind my ears since starting Xarelto.

A question about the stents: do they have valves built into them to prevent blood pooling?

I had clots in my left calf in 1999. Thinking I had pulled a muscle, I went to the gym and did light leg lifts which broke up the clots which went into my lungs. I started back at the gym in April and changed fr

I had that happen to me. Clot was from my knee to groin. I had to have 3 stents in my iliac vein, it had collapsed.

How do I manage pain medication while on Xarelto?
My sister was put on 30 mg daily about a month ago for DVT in her right leg. The doctor has now switched the dose to 20 mg once daily. She suffers from arthritis and always took Advil for it prior to getting the clot. The doctor told her that the only pain medication she can now take is Tylenol (which unfortunately doesn't do as good a job as far as pain relief is concerned as the Advil did.
