Yes! I forgot to take my synthroid yesterday and the excruciating pain in my feet that II have had for months was gone. As soon as I took Synthroid it was back.

OMG, yes! I'm in excruciating pain. I've forgotten to take my meds a couple of days and my feet feel better so I googled synthroid and foot pain and came upon your post.

Synthroid -- the drug from hell!
I take synthroid and haven't had a single problem, only took a few months to get the dosage right too.

Ditto from me; also had to use synthroid when levoxyl was pulled and it was horrible.
I am back on levoxyl now and have seen a dramatic, positive difference. Please keep levoxyl available to those of us who really need it!

I was on synthroid for over 25 years after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer and felt terrible! Thin hair, headaches, weight gain. My doctor just couldn't get the dosage right no matter what he did. I told him "If I had known I was going to feel like this the rest of my life, I would have chosen death from the cancer" and changed doctors. I have been on tirosint for 6 months now. My metabolism is coming back, my hair is thick and shiny, headaches are gone, no muscle cramps. Synthroid is

I am so glad that I went to this site!!! I had been on Synthroid before; but I found out that it contained Sulfites as a preservative and I've been allergic to them for years!!! My 'new Endo' placed me on Levoxyl in 2011 and I was so much better until it was pulled for a very lame reason in the Spring of 2013.
I went to the Levoxyl website and it returned to the formularies in early March 2014!!!
I realized that my pharmacy had switched back to the Synthroid generic last Fall 2013 and the Ede

I so agree with you . I was on levoxyl since 1981 and was perfectly fine. I was put on synthroid when they pulled levoxyl off the market. My hair has thinned over the last several months and itches. I hate synthroid. I hope you are right about the return of levoxyl. Good luck .

thyroid and suboxone
I am going through the same exact thing Larsy. Its terrible I have hashimotos hypothyroidism and have all the symptoms you do and I only take 1 mg of suboxone a day

Sub will make you shprt of breathe but the doctor says there are a lot of meds you CANNOT take while taking sub because it can make you stop breathing
August 4, 2014
Nice that it cut off all my post. Long story short, all I said was consult your Sub doctor and let him know your concerns, he may lower your dosage or spread your dose throughout the day in smaller bits, or discontinue use if it is really affecting you that badly to where it is worrying you, and it obviously is because you came online and wrote about it. It happens in your sleep as well, and sometimes worse than when you are awake, keep that in mind, Good luck.
Krave  |  July 11, 2014
A side affect of Suboxone is breathing problems. I have been taking Sub for about a year and a half now and just within the past 4 to 6 months started having difficulty breathing. It was probably a coincidence that you started your other medication at the same time as having the breathing problems. I wouldn't call it a "drowning" feeling as much as just wheezing and I feel there is a blockage in my throat. When I breath in you can hear the wheeze (not crackly just obstructed). I just make sure
Krave  |  July 11, 2014
I feel like I am drowning at night when I finally lay down. Stuffy nose, thinning hair, and mood swings are symptoms I suffer from since I take synthroid. I think I would rather just suffer from my hypothyroidism!
Tanya  |  June 22, 2014
It's the suboxone, it took a while to hit me too but I know I hold my breath (unknowingly) because of it.
Dez  |  May 1, 2014
OMG I can relate to you so well. It's really scary when I get the shortness of my breath. I feel like I'm drowning or like I need to get more air. I'm also having muscle jerks constrantly but they do not hurt just feel strange. My body feels like it's numb or asleep. If I sit very still my neck jerks . I also have hypothyroid and now moderate arthritis in my neck. I'd love to hear back from you or anyone who can relate. Larsy1566

Armour caused foot pain
I have been on Armour for years and the past 6 months started getting feet cramps. My dr disliked me on Armour so I finally broke down and switched to Synthroid (not generic) my feet cramps are gone is a week. I am frustrated with weight gain already but I will give it a chance and see what happens. I had a total thyroidectomy in 2007 so I have tried them all, I like natural thyroid better...I will see..Good Luck!

I was diagnosed with RLS, and am taking a fairly low dosage of Ropinirole. My feet jerking in my sleep has been favorably addressed . However during my sleep I am awakened with achiness in my either feet. I get up and and ice them and I usually am able to return to sleep restfully. I there anyone can help me in this chronic matter ?

suicide and syntroid
Synthroid did the same thing to me. I had always been a bit of a worrier, but usually everything felt to be on an even keel. After starting Levothyroxine I began to feel like I was losing my mind. Having really crazy thoughts and heart palps. Worried all of the time and stressed out like a mad person. I hate it, but don't know what to do about it if I need the medication. I would like to try Armour Thyroid, but the doctors act like it is the drug from hell. Don't know why that is.

as her friend, should remind her that it is the meds giving her these thoughts, and she should overcome them on her own simply by knowing it is just the medication. It is all just a big mind trick.
Krave  |  July 11, 2014
She should recognize it is the medication giving her these thoughts thus when the feeling comes to want to kill herself, she should know it is from the meds. Tell her to overcome these thoughts simply because it is the meds doing it. If there is so much positive about the meds, and this one negative thing, it is better she stays on it and grows mentally strong enough and capable of overcoming these thoughts on her own. When she starts thinking this, tell her to call you, and then you, as her fr

I'm assuming this is similar to the explanation of why anti-depressants can actually increase the desire for suicide. A lot of experts say that this is because anti-depressants give people with depression the energy to actually kill themselves that they lacked with their untreated depression. Since Synthyroid increases the metabolism, it increases energy. I'd assume this could be why.

Can Synthroid cause Rosacia?
Hi, you've probably already figured this out by now, but I'll go ahead and reply anyway just in case. I don't know about Rosacea. but Synthroid contains both acacia and lactose, two things that you could possibly be allergic to, hence the skin problems. If you can afford it, schedule for an allergen test, but if you can't afford it, talk to your doc about switching to a thyroid med that doesn't contain either of those ingredients. Best of luck to you.
