Controversy about Z-Pak
The Doc prescribed a z-pak for my son who has bronchial congestion. He has taken his last dose today, and is still not doing well. In checking the company that makes this drug, I am upset to find out it's made in India by a company (Wockhardt} that has been in question lately. These people are playing around with people's lives when they make drugs not up to standard. People dispensing these drugs should be held liable. I am looking into this matter, thouroughly within the next few days.I will post a comment. June Hall
I spent nearly six weeks, in total, between January and April this year, with a 'mystery' lung disease. My x rays being sent away for further diagnostic tests, It was more than pneumonia, more than double pneumonia, there were unidentifiable complications, and my x rays of the lungs, were the talk of the medical staff at the hospital.
It turned out, to cut a long story short, that my pneumonia and further infections, were caused by the underlying pulmonary fibrosis, which had been instigated by the antibiotic, Nitrofurantoin, prescribed for me over a long period for cystitis prevention.!
I nearly died with severe pneumonia, caused by Pulmonary Fibrosis, which,in turn was caused by use of the antibiotic call 'Nitrourafoin'. This was prescribed to cure, and to prevent Cystitis.
anyone with a lung condition of any sort should avoid this antibiotic.
I need to know if there is an enteric coated antibiotic, suitable for cystitis prevention, as I suffer from gastritis, and acid reflux. Would be so grateful for any information?
