Any new advances for treating Haemophilis Influenza
I have had this almost since Feb 20213. I have had Tetracyclin (which did not suit me as it made me ill) and Co-amoxiclav. I also needed prednisolone. Each time I completed the course within one or two weeks the condition came back. The prednisolone played havoc with my blood sugar as I am diabetic. I just finished the last antibiotic and steroid about 3 weeks ago and a sample of my cough went to the lab and once again came back positive for Haem. Flu. I am trying to find out if there have been any further advances with antibiotics as Co amoxiclav does not seem to be clearing it. I am under Breathing Space in Rotherham as I have COPD (bronchiectasis, pseudomonas which also flare up occasionally). If anyone has any bright ideas I would appreciate it.
I have no idea what to do for my skin!
I have had moderate acne since I was about 14. I'm now 21, and I have very enlarged pores, especially on my cheeks near my nose. My cheeks have spots where it's like a colony of acne, and my forehead feels smooth, but still is a bit bumpy. I have blackheads all over my nose and chin, and no matter how many extractions I do, it's like it constantly reproduces. I know I'm still young, but I'm really sick of acne. I have tried the Ziana gel, which slightly helps, but is not long term. I have tried a bunch of different cleansers, ranging from drugstore brands to proactive to kiehl's. I'm wondering if I should maybe go for an antibiotic?
Controversy about Z-Pak
The Doc prescribed a z-pak for my son who has bronchial congestion. He has taken his last dose today, and is still not doing well. In checking the company that makes this drug, I am upset to find out it's made in India by a company (Wockhardt} that has been in question lately. These people are playing around with people's lives when they make drugs not up to standard. People dispensing these drugs should be held liable. I am looking into this matter, thouroughly within the next few days.I will post a comment. June Hall
I spent nearly six weeks, in total, between January and April this year, with a 'mystery' lung disease. My x rays being sent away for further diagnostic tests, It was more than pneumonia, more than double pneumonia, there were unidentifiable complications, and my x rays of the lungs, were the talk of the medical staff at the hospital.
It turned out, to cut a long story short, that my pneumonia and further infections, were caused by the underlying pulmonary fibrosis, which had been instigated by the antibiotic, Nitrofurantoin, prescribed for me over a long period for cystitis prevention.!
I nearly died with severe pneumonia, caused by Pulmonary Fibrosis, which,in turn was caused by use of the antibiotic call 'Nitrourafoin'. This was prescribed to cure, and to prevent Cystitis.
anyone with a lung condition of any sort should avoid this antibiotic.
I need to know if there is an enteric coated antibiotic, suitable for cystitis prevention, as I suffer from gastritis, and acid reflux. Would be so grateful for any information?
