Androgel vs Fortesta
OK, Androgel's testosterone percentage is available in either 1% or as with the newer product, 1.62% per their commercials but what does this really mean? When my insurance recently made me switch to Fortesta, the dosage per 'pump' is labeled as 10 mg per pump, so again, what am I actually getting from Androgel versus Fortesta? Here's the breakdown as I was informed by my Pharmacist; Each individual 'pump' of Fortesta contains 10 mg of Testosterone whereas' 1 individual 'pump' of Androgel contains 20.2 mg of Testosterone (1.62%) Based on my experience it's no wonder Androgel contains twice the Testosterone as the pump amount from the Androgel container seems to be roughly twice that of Fortesta. Simply put, two pumps of Fortesta equals roughly one pump of Androgel, however, CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR FIRST!!!

Androgel and your body
100% agree I had a very similar reaction to Androgel became ill after 15 days of use every single side effect listed I ended up having, headaches, shortness of breath, dark yellow urine, insomnia, increased depression, and so on. I stopped taking Androgel and within 3 days I felt much better. The Doctor has now put me on the patch to try....it,s the first day so I don't know yet but I felt I had to respond to this do to the similarities due to the use of Androgel.
