yes, I have ulcerative colitis, since stopping prozac.....I have no pain at all.....still have small glares but no pain! Life is soooo much better......now to get the doctor to believe me if I ever have to go back onto antidepressants

I have switched from zoloft to prozac 40mg. I've been on it for almost 2 months. Within the past several weeks there are night I get Terrible heartburn after I take the capsule. I thought it was food I have been eating but being that I have Never in my life had heartburn issues and reading about other people's reviews on prozac and heartburn I think it may be from pill. It is a burning sensation coming from center of chest as if I have food stuck there. I also feel like I need to belch but can'

I used prozac 1st in the 80s. Started having stomach and ephogus and throat burning. Was treated for GERD. No improvement. When I finally discontinued Prozac the burning slowly went away. Stopped GERD meds for a couple yrs. Went back on Prozac and the severe burning started again after several days. Have stopped Prozac ... burning stopped. Prozac helped my depression and II really want to take but just can't endure the burning. Even kept me awake at night. Oh, when I told drs about they

I also experienced the same burning sensation, when I swalloed the flouxetine pill, and it lasted for over two hours. I drank hot tea and coffee I thought thathot liquid helped releive the burning that I felt in my throat.
